Carvedilol is a medication classified as a beta-blocker. It works by blocking the action of certain natural substances in the body, such as adrenaline, on the heart and blood vessels. This results in a reduction of heart rate, blood pressure, and strain on the heart.

• Initial dose: 6.25 mg orally b.i.d. Dosage should then be doubled every 2 weeks to the effective dose needed to stabilize angina and at a dose level tolerated by the patient.
• Maintenance dose: 6.25mg to 25mg orally b.i.d

Initial dose: 3.125 mg orally b.i.d for 2 weeks. If tolerated, increase the dosage to 6.25mg orally b.i.d. Dosage should then be doubled every two weeks to the highest level tolerated by the patient with a maximum recommended dose of 25mg b.i.d

Initial dose: 6.25 mg orally b.i.d for 2 weeks. Dosage should then be doubled every 1-2 weeks based on trough blood pressure to the highest level tolerated by the patient with a maximum recommended dose of 25 mg orally b.i.d
